Palić zoo is a 10-hectare (25-acre) zoo and gardens founded in 1949. The zoo is home to about 65 species of animals, including monkeys, deer, antelope, zebras, giraffes, lions, elephants, camels, tigers, red pandas, wolves, polar bears, emu, ostriches, and other birds, as well as snakes, reptiles, and tarantulas. The zoo is also home to some domesticated animals including donkeys, goats, and horses. The Zoo includes ponds and fountains, as well as more than 270 species of trees and shrubs!
The Grand Park (1840) represents a unique ambience created by combining natural values and architectural heritage. This heritage, along with the picturesque villas, consists of monumental buildings intended for relaxation and enjoyment. Those include the Water Tower, Grand Terrace which is experiencing its renaissance as a modern multifunctional facility, Music Pavilion and Women's Beach, all opened in 1912. They were designed in secessionist style, that is, Hungarian variant of it.
